Terms

These are the terms between you and Learn Academy Limited. They are short because the service is simple: you teach, we direct.

The review request

Arranging your child’s review is free and creates no obligation on either side. The reply you receive is the Education Director’s honest professional view based on what you have told us. It is not an assessment of special educational needs and it is not legal advice.

What the service is

Learn Academy provides educational direction to the parent: a baseline, an individual learning plan delivered in weekly instalments, answers to your questions between reviews, and periodic reviews of the evidence you log. You deliver the teaching.

Under section 7 of the Education Act 1996 the duty to ensure that a child receives an efficient, full-time education suitable to their age, ability and aptitude rests with the parent. Learn Academy does not assume that duty, and nothing in our service transfers it. We help you meet it.

What the service is not

  • It is not tutoring. The Education Director does not teach your child.
  • It is not specialist provision. If we believe your child needs a specialist, we will say so.
  • It does not guarantee any outcome. Children learn at different rates, which is the whole point of an individual plan.
  • It has no relationship with any local authority. We do not report to, liaise with, or share information with your council.

Becoming a client

If we agree to work together after your review, we confirm in writing what is included, the monthly fee, and the start date, before anything is charged. Fees are payable monthly in advance by Direct Debit or card. Either of us can end the arrangement with one calendar month’s written notice. We may end it sooner if payment is not made or if the safeguarding rules on our safeguarding page are not respected.

Your record

Everything you log, and every plan and review we write for your child, is your record. You can export it at any time and it is deleted on request. See Privacy.

Materials

Plans and materials we write for you are for your family’s use. Please do not resell or republish them. Where we point you to third-party resources, their own terms apply.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
